Rural Health Stakeholder Roundtable meets in Canberra


The Alliance was represented at a meeting of the Rural Health Stakeholder Roundtable in Canberra on 9 February 2018. At the Roundtable, delegates met with the new Minister for Rural Health, Senator Bridget McKenzie, and the National Rural Health Commissioner, Professor Paul Worley.

The rising costs of health insurance premiums, as well concerns over value for money, are key issues for people living in rural and remote areas of Australia, many of whom simply cannot take full advantage of their private health insurance due to limited access to healthcare services.
