A/Prof Paul Williams began his career at RPAH 1972 as a
research assistant working on lipoproteins and moved in 1974/5 to work in the
insulin receptor where he obtained a Masters
degree and then a PhD.
During this time the research laboratory and Clinical
Diagnostic laboratory were very closely linked and
Paul became the Director of the Diagnostic Laboratory.
Paul is a board member of Insulin for life, Diabetes
Australia and Diabetes Australia Research Limited and has served on and chaired
organising committees for Endocrinology, Diabetes (Australian and
International) and AACB scientific meetings.
He is Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow Sydney Medical School and is a Foundation Fellow of the Faculty of Science, RCPA.
