Dr
Belinda McClaren is a specialist project officer with the Genomics in Society group at
the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and a senior lecturer with the
Department of Paediatrics, the University of Melbourne. Dr McClaren
uses mixed methods research to lead research projects which investigate
psychosocial impacts and health workforce implications of applications of
genetic and genomic technologies. Her research contributes to the evidence-base
to inform genetic counselling clinical practice and the continuing education of
health professionals. Dr McClaren recently completed
a specialist certificate in implementation science and is applying these
principles to research design and evaluation of projects including Mackenzie’s
Mission and Acute Care genomics.
